Does anyone know anything about the San Cristobal barrio in BA? I am thinking of renting a house there. Any information is appreciated. Thank you!

It's not the nicest part of town... but it's not bad.

Wouldn't live there myself...i don't think i'd feel comfortable living that far south, alongside Constitution...it's bit dodgy. It's not awful but the centre and up are the areas i'd choose to live in. Even San Telmo isn't somewhere i'd like to live with the exception of about 2 streets. That's not to say anything bad is guaranteed to happen, if you're careful (as you should be in any big city) then you'll be fine. And it's all down to personal preference, i just prefer to feel safe all the time when i'm living somewhere. When i'm just travelling through somewhere i don't care too much about the area but if i'm living permanently in a place i prefer to be in a safe environment and not have to worry about security all the time.
