Assalamu alaykom/Hi everyone,
I've been offered a job at a new branch that Nefertari Language School is opening here in Port Said. The new name is the Port Said Academy, overseen by Ms. Nadia Hafez, also chairperson of NLS in Cairo. Has anyone on this board heard anything good or bad about it that I should know about before signing the contract? It is now the only international school here in Port Said so I don't have many options, but better to be informed at least before jumping in. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
Also, I have a BA in History, a CELTA B Pass, and 7 years experience teaching ESL--conversational and Key Stage 2-3 levels--divided almost equally between S.Korea, Japan, and Egypt. I have been offered 4000EP/month--in your opinion, does this offer match my qualifications?
Like I said above, any help at all would be much appreciated.
Wa salam,

Thanks for replying, sbtesol,
In answer to your questions, as I mentioned I was asking about Nefertari because this new school opening up here in Port Said will be under the same management... so anyway about how I got the job: at the end of April they held an interview day where anyone who was interested (foreign and Egyptian) could go to the school to interview. Through some contacts of mine here in PS, I was called and informed about the interview by Ms.Nadia herself. I went, interviewed, and got the job. As for the school in Cairo, though, I think you could just walk in with your resume, but I think it would be better to call the school, ask for Ms.Nadia Hafez, and try to arrange an interview. (You could just walk in and the person you need to speak to just might not be there...) I hope this helps.
Nobody heard anything about Nefertari? Something good would be great--like they always keep their promises and they're so different from other international schools here in Egypt, etc., etc...
Shukran,
