Hey Canadatennis,
I got a flexible one year ticket and booked the return date within the 60 days my visa would be valid. However, when I decided that I would stay and work in Taiwan, I simply rebooked my ticket for a lter date. This is what most people I know have done and it's a good way to go. If you decide to go home within a year, you have a return ticket. Or, if you want to take a vacation and visit your family back home, you can use the ticket for that. Yes, the TECO office will certainly want to know what you will be doing in Taiwan. Enter for the purpose of tourism unless you already have a job or have registered with a Chinese school. |
