Obviously if you are reading this then you are aware of this site and im sure most people know of tefl.com. But what about individual countries. For example if there is a newbie coming to Turkey they should have a look at www.teflturkey.com or check the classifieds on www.mymerhaba.com Iam not saying they are the best jobs around but it is a start. so what websites are there for the country you are in. |

The last job posted on teflturkey.com wants 4 weekers with not even the CELTA, doesn`t need a degree and offers hourly pay, no work permit, no sick pay, no holidays and if you have a look at the Turkey forum under toilet you will see how they rip off their teachers. The previous job posted is for EF and requires no degree. Not the best jobs-you got that right. |

Greetings dmb et al
from a soggy Bangkok:
The only problem with your great idea is that such posts,
regardless of how popular they are for the first week or 2 -
eventually disappear off of page 1 into eternal Dave's oblivion;
lost forever somewhere on page 127 of the General Forum.
What would make more sense would be for forum members (such as yourself!)
to make a decent list of online resources for the country forum they normally frequent -
and then let one of the moderators post it as a sticky on that forum.
By doing so, you create a permanent resource which can be edited & revised from time to time.
And for the low, low price of only 5,000,000,000 Turkish Lira -
I'll even help you with tips on adding graphics, photos and animated stuff.
In plain English: "You make it, we'll 'sticky' it."
Just PM your local ESL Terminator for assistance.
All we need to do then is get the 'nod' from Dave,
and he's totally cool about requests of that nature.
OK - gotta run.
My socks are soaking wet and my toes are starting to shrivel.

Has anyone ever heard of an Ecuador specific forum? Or are we too small to justify one. (Probably,) is my guess.

If you make a post that's stickworthy all you have to do is PM any mod and plead your case. That Thai Labour Standards Info link in the Thailand forum was all written up by me, and Ctrl C'd by PaulH after a PM. |
