Hi everyone. Based on all the news bird flu has been getting, I was wondering what the reaction has been in Taiwan and the surrounding areas? Is it something that seriously concerns everyone? I am planning to come to Taiwan in August, and would like to know the general mood of people on this topic.

I showed some Taiwanese people my pitctures of Thailand and they said "haha birdflu." Perhaps that isn't very helpful, but I don't think it's much on people's minds here -- but then I'm in Taipei and they tend to think about big city things.
Why are you asking about this? If you're worried about your health I'd say the best thing you could do is shell out for taxis instead of buying a scooter, and not worry so much about bird flu. |
