As a teacher I believe we should never give up on our students. But my patience is wearing thin.

Yes 31, I am talking about you. 31 is obviously an intelligent bloke with alot of experience about Turkey. Please say something positive about teaching EFL in Turkey. |

dmb, I am currently channelling 31 (it's one of my TEFL- skills!) and he says, ' Gosh, golly, I sure do like lahmacun! Turkey is great for lahmacun- with or without ayran. And gosh, do I like ayran. Almost as good as a litre of Gzel Marmara.'

Oh, he is fading now. I'll try to re-chanel him later for more High Points of Turkey. |

You sound just like a teacher. Even my mother never used to use lines like that. As for never giving up on our students, I suppose you agree with ''there is no such thing as failure, just success at a later date.''

Thank you for the compliments and I am sure that I don`t deserve them.

Positive things about teaching EFL in Turkey for who(m)? For a twenty something newbie who just wants to get out of recession Britain, find a girlfriend and go out on the p i s s every night? |

Sounds like that is coming out of your back channel.

BTW Real Brits don`t really say golly and gosh and certainly not with ''sure do.'' |

So I do live in Istanbul. Thanks for believing in me. Love eating but not football. Notice I have never contributed to the football threads. |

				| Er, otuz bir, my dear, I can say whatever I wish because English is a free language. And dang it but I did have a pound (er, Sterling) account--- in Turkey. And the California gig was via the internet not in situ. I see nothing wrong with any of these statements. You say them as if they were errors of some sort. How odd. You need to learn to nit pick better. |

I am not getting at you. Sorry about the pound account thing, that was pathetic. I don`t want any trouble with you and have enjoyed your posts. The whole chanelling thing I found a bit odd. That is all. I respect the fact that you put the time in working in Kayseri? it must have been challenging.

Otuz bir- the channelling thing was merely the end result of not enough sleep and too many weird classes. Consider it temporary expermimental lunacy. You were merely the accidental recipient. ok zgnum.

PS Dang it. |
