Only visited and never taught there. Probably a real mixed bag with some really good places to work and others that need to be avoided.
Depends on what type of school you want or are qualified to work in. My advice is to choose somewhere safe for the 1st year and move on when you’re here the following year. It’s worked for me both in China and elsewhere.
A big language school such as Wall Street etc. will probably not give you too many nasty surprises in terms of relocation process, payment of salary and the all-important release letter. Sure it’s possible to do better, but unless it’s a big organization, university or school for this 1st year, the potential to come unstuck increases. |
