Is Taiwan cheap for shopping, clothes, T,shirts, dvds, branded clothing, etc (in comparison with Bangkok)

And if these goods are available at Bangkok prices are they readily available in all the cities or just Taipei?

I have a good reason to ask this, I'm not being a pathetic *beep* who cannot go without his essential clothing!
