I'm finishing up a year in Japan this April and am probably going back to the States afterward. I wanted to do a Southeast Asia trip after finishing up here and before going back. Then I just got the idea of, like the title says, doing some short term work there instead. Maybe something volunteer-like for room and board or whatever for a couple of months. Of course, I'm going to start searching, but if anyone knows anything like what I'm describing, tips are appreciated. Thanks. |

Dont know if this would be of interest. Im in Yangshuo, China and there are lots of gigs you mention here. Many of the language schools offer board and food in return for attending English corner for a couple of hours each evening. I dont have contact emails, although one of the language centres does advertise on couch-surfers apparently. I often see signs outside the schools asking for volunteers on this basis though. |
