I am new to ESL teaching in China and am interested in your opinions of Beihang University (Beijing, I think) and Beijing University, Haidian District, Beijing.
I have been sent offers for both and would appreciate feedback.
I have done my research on this forum and others and it seems there
have been differing experiences among teachers.
Both positions offer between 6,000 and 6,500 RMB a month with the usual benefits however, both positions were sent to me by recruiters. Has anyone had any experience with Faith Tang or 'Fred' from Channel Recruitment?
One position stated the 'recruit' needed to deposit 1,000 yuan that would be reimbursed after a 3 month probabtionary period.
Is this the norm?
As well, it seems that if you are sick or fail to be liked by the students or staff for any reason the contract can be terminated without notice.
Comments appreciated. |

ive never heard of those recruiters or their company, and never deposit your money for a job. based on the deposit garbage alone, dont do it. contact those universities directly if you want to work there. |

Tuvia's right. Although there are a few (very few) honest recruiters, most are beneath contempt. This deposit thing is bogus. Chances are you'd never see it again.
Go right to the schools themselves. |
