I am curious if anyone has had experiences with Shane School in Taipei?
I am considering accepting a position.
(I have used the search option)
What do you think about the pre-teaching training?
Was it a good experience working with them?
Thanks!

Shane School is also involved in recruiting. Are you actually working in a Shane School, or are you being recruited by Shane to work elsewhere? |

Sorry. What I meant was, are you being recruited to work in a Shane School or are Shane School recruiting you to work in another school. You may need to confirm this with Shane School as they may have plans for you that they haven't mentioned! |

There are some comments about Shane over at www.buxiban.com
Overall the word seems to be good. The complaints were largerly personal in nature. The noticeable thing is that ex-teachers posted positive experiences about their time with Shane, and in my opinion positive comments about schools mean much more than the negative stuff.
Check the hours that they require, and how much they are paying. If you are happy with their offer then there would be no legitimate reason not to take it. |

Where are they sending you? Which town? Make sure that you know where you are headed otherwise you may be sent to some small town in the middle of nowhere that no one else, except a newbie, is willing to teach at. Some teachers might prefer that but if you come on your own you might feel a little isolated. |
