After four years in Asia, I find myself in Mexico City. The people here are much friendlier and the food is fantastic. I think the only things about Asia that I am going to miss are the slim women and well paid teaching jobs. No complaints here so far, except for buying Spanish computer programs. Good incentive to learn Spanish. Spanish also seems much easier to learn.
I need some advice. The airlines told me it was about 200USD from Mexico City to Gaudalajara, but I thought it would be nice to see the countryside by bus. Not speaking much Spanish, I thought you all might be able to steer me in the right direction. How does one start the bus jouney? I would like to take a comfortable bus, but I dont know where to buy the ticket or catch the bus.
Any help would be appreciated. Ill even buy the beers. I am in Zocalo. My phone number is 551 221 4554. I hope to leave this Saturday, but Im flexible.
Thanks in advance!

i came all the way from arizona by bus (to guadalajara) so i can maybe help you. the best bus to take is the TAP. just go to the station and catch the next bus out. if you want it to be comfortable, make sure you get first class and sit in the front of the bus. let me know if you need any more help.... and you owe me a beer once you get here. |

prolly out of date by now, but for others looking, here is what you do:
Head to Central de Norte in Mexico City whenever you feel like it, take a cab or the Metro. Stroll into the station and find the ETN counter. Buy yourself a ticket on the next bus. If you have time to kill, get some snack food for the trip.
Sorted. |
