Hello. I'm a newbie here. I just got a TESOL certificate. I don't know much about countries other than China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. I know that you need a degree for those ones (except China) now about Hong Kong, are foreigners able to find jobs in HK that will provide accomodation like they do in Japan and Korea? Also, could you suggest any websites with job postings for HK? I appreciate your time. Thanks.

honestly, ther are lots of job opportunties in Hong Kong in the field of education. However, without a degree, your chances may be a bit dim. You may try to search for jobs on line: classified post is a good start. good luck!

In China, you need to have a degree as well. It's just not that well enforced.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Officially you're supposed to have a degree, but there's many apparent ways to get around it. I have one, but was told they didn't need to see proof of it or anything (not that I advise lying!)

One employer told me she could get a job for my friend, who has no degree but U.S. work experience, by simply asking at her province for red stamped papers.

Take a look @ the ad for Deborah International Kindergarten on this website if you're still looking for a job. I have been working there for 6 months and am here on a working/holiday visa.
