So there are two ways to find the answer to this, the "accurate observation" way and the lazy, "I'll just ask someone" way.

So I'm asking.

Me, I usually haunt the General Discussion, the China on-topic and off-topic forums. That's about all, I don't really go into the other places in the site. Plenty of interesting drama here!

I get my jobs from word of mouth, usually.

Glad Dave's is back online, it's scary how little of a life I had this week. I need to get out more! I like Dave's ESL Cafe, but man, the booths have a lot of grafitti carved in them. And I drink way too much coffee.

General discussion & newbie forum & the forums/fora for the countries I've taught in (Japan, Czech Republic, China, US) & the countries that I've considered teaching in (Vietnam, Taiwan, Chile), & sometimes random places, depending on how much time I have to kill.

I usually try to get a seat next to my Tweety, Denise (as I've just managed). She's playing hard to get, though.

China (on and off topics), General, Newbie, Japan, the odd-time I'll float into another room, then I hit the Korean Forums but nowadays I rarely post there.

Normally there's a search function at the top of the page with which you can find old threads (about avatars, etc.). The whole site was down for a few days, and the search function has yet to reappear.

Just out of curiosity--your username??? I must say it caught my attention. I notice you've got a Midnight Oil quote--is that the "skinhead" you are referring to?

I have a very set routine 3 days of the week because I have to teach 7 classes each day. Get up at 5.30am, turn on the computer, tune in to bbc world, take the dog for a walk for half an hour, come back put the bread in the toaster, brew some tea. Check out daves while I eat breakfast and listen to the news. When things were getting a bit nasty with some of the posters it was quite interesting and disturbing at the same time. I didn't like my reaction I became like someone who likes watching traffic accidents, it was dark and negative and affected my personality. It definitely wasn't useful.
I like it when someone posts something useful or an honest insight into their lives which I can relate to.
For example gerard45 posted about his school and I went and visited the school and I went back a second time. What he posted was a very open and honest appraisal of the school and the area.
These types of posts are useful and most helpful and I appreciate him taking the time to do so.
Cheers Carol

Not really. Pete's a huge hero of mine, but I'm a little baldie too (not out of choice Wink ). I'll search for avatar help when the function reappears. Thanx for the tip.

Welcome, new poster.

A question on my mind:

are you a nazi? Because that's what it means in America.
