Hi!!
I`m going to join Aeon Amity this coming Sept!! Anybody who is going to join this groups' training around??
Also, I was just wondering about the fees for luggage delivery from Osaka Kansai Airport to Gunma...anyone know what the rates are like for two big luggages, about 30Kg? Or anyone got those companies' websites? coz I couldn't find the sites for PASCO, ALS..
btw, Anyone here gone through the Amity training?? In the training description I didn't see a heavy portion of grammer included, so was just wondering how heavy do they look at your grammer skills...or should I say grammer presenting skills? I know them but just find it hard to explain them somehow...Recently going through my grammer review process, but still want to make sure.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!!

It might be easier if you could get a flight into Narita International. It is closer to Gunma than Kansai. There are a couple of deleivery services located close to the exit from customs. When I first arrived in Japan my company actually paid for the delivery of my bags. Check with AEON and see if they do that. |

I'll be training at Okayama? I think. So I guess that's why they asked me to arrive at Osaka instead of Tokyo...
Aeon didnt mention about the luggage delivery fee, they just said that will be done upon arrival.
Anyone with AEON or Amity can help me out on this??
Thanks!! |

You pay. It isn't expensive.
PS yYu can cart all your luggage with you but it'll be hell walking it around the stations and to training (and back to Okayama eki and on to Gunma).
Seperate what you can easily tote (doesn't have to be only one bag - anything that you can carry 1km in 35 degree celsius heat is fine) and ship the rest. |

While on the topic of luggage delivery, has anyone ever thought that it was unsafe to deliver their luggage to the airport. I am curious as immigration in America or Canada always asks if you packed your luggage and if it has been out of your sight since you packed it? |

I shipped my luggage from KIX to Toyama, and it cost me about 3,500 yen. It's not that bad, but the price does depend on the weight of your baggage and the distance it has to go. My baggage was medium sized and I shipped two suitcases. I'd expect to pay about 5,000 for a couple of heavy suitcases.
The Amity trainers will meet you at the airport and help you get it all taken care of. But trust me, they are right when they tell you to only bring one small and easy to carry suitcase for the training week.
Edited to add: I felt safe using the luggage courier service. However, I did notice that my suitcases were a little damaged when I recieved them. I am not sure if it happened through the courier service or somehow through the handling of the luggage by the airline. Either way, it is advisable to keep your valuable items with you. |

Thanks for the information!!!
I'll have 2 big and one small suitcase (those drag-able with wheels) to the training, so it should be fine I guess. |
