Today I got vaccines for Hepatitis A & B, and also typhoid and a polio booster. I plan to stay mostly in Taiwan but would like to travel in Japan, Thailand, and possibly Indonesia as well. Do y'all think the following vaccines are necessary?
Meningitis ($100)
Japanese Encephalitis ($345!!)
Rabies ($540!!!!)
Mosquitos love me, so I suppose the encephalitis thing scares me. I do plan to slather myself in DEET, though. I guess I feel like I'm just being scared into agreeing to these very expensive vaccines. Are they really necessary?
