Anyone know how frequent the trains from Taichung to Tao-Yuan are and how long the journey takes? |

Take a bus it is faster, more comfortable and no more dangerous than the local rail system.
The price is comparable and they will often let you get off the bus at differ net locations.
You can find all the major bus company terminals in close proximity to the train station as well as various locations all around every major city on Taiwan.
Good luck!

You can find out here. http://train2.twtraffic.com.tw/english/
I like the trains more. I've had a few hairy bus rides.
As for the buses letting you get off where you want what if you suffer from having No Chinese or really poor Chinese ability? Few bus drivers speak English. |

I vote for BUS - much more luxurious at almost the same price!
...I have not experienced any negatives taking buses on Taiwan... |
