There should be no problem arriving with a 1 way ticket to Narita if I have a valid work visa, right? My travel agent asked me and while I don't think it's a problem, just wanted to bounce this off you folks. Last time I came to Japan had a rt ticket, but I'm planning on staying for longer than 1 year this time so the 1 way ticket makes the most sense for me. Thanks! |

Hiya
One way ticket should be fine. I only had a one way ticket when I arrived. Immigration asked a few questions about visa/job (And my fave "why do you have so much luggage...my reply being because I'm a girl!) but I had no problems.

Don't worry about it. IF you have the Humanities and International Services Visa, a one way ticket will do fine. It is the folks usually coming in with tourist visas that the immigration here will ask them have a return ticket or enough money to buy a return one way before the tourist visa expires. |

Thank you very much, kind Sir. That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me in I don't know how long, honestly. And it couldn't have come at a better time. Not only was my tennis ego severly deflated today but I was just about to shutdown after reading the responses to the drivel I posted last night during another feeble attempt at expressing myself here, when I see you avatar and kind words.
I might add it has been a long time, too long. I get the feeling you are silently observing the goings on and only popping in to occasionaly spread some love on those who give it most and need it more.
Of course, I can not take any credit for those words, I mean you know who said that, right? I should probably include the artist's name, shouldn't I? Is it wrong not to?
It just came to me the other day to put that up, as I was singing to myself. Maybe one day I will figure out how to put up an avatar, but I doubt it.
Thanks again, you made my day, and as it's 1:30 in the morning that makes two days!
Enjoy yourself,
