I am thinking of taking the EBC course in BA (was thinking of Bridge Linguatec but have heard better things about EBC). I'd like to do a homestay with a family so I can practice Spanish. Does anyone have any advice on this idea? I didn't find any information on homestays on EBC's website, only hotels/hostels and apartments.

I am living in one right now.
It is OK., definitely helps the Spanish I think ... and it is nice to not have to cook and to always have someone to eat dinner with

My university set me up.
I would tell them you are a student who is in a short term spanish course or make something up and ask them for the homestay information.
Her name is flavia reciti

Do not tell them you got them name from me! I"m not sure if it is OK to give it out, but she should be able to hook you up with names of families who are renting their rooms out.

Hi Smile i'm taking the ebc course right now. i know that ebc claims not to help at all with housing, but once you get here, it's a different story. the trainers themselves are very knowledgeable about bsas (one is from here). as far as homestays, the receptionist has helped set up several students with families nearby the training center. most of them spent a few days to a week in a hostel before moving in with the host family. i posted a list of hostels that are within walking distance of the training center. they're fine to stay in to start, but i don't recommend living in one during the course.
