I have had an inquiry from a friend and just need a baseline figure for a decent one bedroom flat. My first guess would be about 2500Rmb.
Thanks |

Hi --
It really depends on the location. I'm a bit out of the way, near the Jinshazhuang light rain station, and I pay 2000 RMB a month for a two bedroom, furnished place. I know a guy who pays 2000 USD (!) a month for an apartment in Gubei, which is not too far away. French Concession apartments are super expensive too, of course. Your friend should go to an agency that serves local people, not expats. I'd say, for a one bedroom, at least 1,800 RMB a month would be reasonable, and it can go up to the thousands of US dollars a month, if you want a prime location. |

You must be lucky - sometimes I have to cope with heavy rain! |
