Hi and thank you very much for answering my post. Can you please tell me who pays for the initial ticket to Hong Kong if you are on the PNET program.Do you, and then you will be paid back by the EMB once in Hong Kong?If that is the way it works, how long does it take to get your money back? How about for baggage? How much will they pay? Do you have any idea how much baggage one is allowed to travel with before you are over weight. I imagine it is pretty expensive once you go over your baggage weight limit. When you first arrive, is there anybody to greet you at the airport or after the airport? Where does one stay upon first arriving in Hong Kong?Is it all up to you to find a hotel, etc? Thanks.

"who pays for the initial ticket to Hong Kong" You purchase the ticket and are reimbursed by your school. When? That depends on how the school take and the EMB take to do their jobs. Mine was reimbursed within a month of arrival.

"How about for baggage? How much will they pay" When I cam over I think it was HK$1300 or HK$1700 not a grat deal but check your contract.

"how much baggage one is allowed to travel with before you are over weight" Depending on the airline 20kg to 25kg. I think I paid AU$25 for every kg over. That's sounds like a lot so check with the airline.

"When you first arrive, is there anybody to greet you at the airport " Many school offer to send someone to meet you. Ask them to. I know we'd do it for a visiting teacher back home.

"Where does one stay upon first arriving in Hong Kong?" That's up to you. Check a posting title "Cheap safe place to stay in HOng Kong" I think it was called something like that[/code]
