anyone been fiddled with tax?

Do you pay tax?

Are you sure?

Has a school been unreasonable/evasive when you've asked about it?

The usual question to find out is:

"Can you tell me my NIP please?"

You wondering whether you're being stung then, elblagskich?

I think it's a very good idea. For the contract I came here for, everything was provided - flat, curriculum, travel pass - so it was six months in, when I tried to buy a car, that I became aware of all the formalities and necessary documents that are required for living in Poland.

NIP and PESEL seem to be the main two (never had to produce my residency card as yet) so any info for newbies on obtaining these would be good.
