Hi all. I've accepted a job offer in Opole. Anybody have any suggestions of what I should be certain to take with me? You know, things I might want to have ample supply of until I get my bearings and can figure out where to buy them. Or things I may want that will be difficult to find in Opole/Poland? Or things that I may be tempted to take but can easily find once I'm there? I'm coming from a nice hot desert so I'll have to get a GOOD winter coat, etc. Get it in the US or get it in Poland???
I know there's a similar thread on the Newbie forum but I just wondered if there's anything specific to Poland that I should keep in mind.
Most appreciative of all helpful suggestions,

You can get just about every thing you need there. However, they may be expensive. Bring a good heavy coat, plenty of long underwear ( it gets cold in Poland) and any pairs of jeans you can pack. These are VERY EXPENSIVE in Poland. I would also bring a good pair of winter boots. Enjoy. |
