Would appreciate any information good or bad about this school.

After having worked for English Perfect in another city I would not reccommend working for them. I have also heard a lot of bad things about the school in Olsztyn.

Where exactly did you work for them? What exactly have you heard about Olsztyn? Would appreciate your honesty if you can give it.Thanks for reply anyway

the school i worked for was sold to EP in FEB 2005.
Everthing moved teachers, students etc.
My new contract was like this:

Can't work for anyone else (even though i was only on 14hrs week, not nearly enough to live on)
Can't teach any former EP students anywhere except EP for 12 months after finishing with them.

Other things were very restrictive. The owners are Yearwood and Goralczyk. Yearwood gave me a really hard time over the contract which he promised would be the same a my previous schools (none of these restrictions). In short he lied. They are another one of those schools who like to try their hand at screwing you. Fortunately for me it was short lived.

I heard that teachers were not happy with the move adn few are going back.

One good thing though i did get paid on time and the right amount.

If your interested get a copy of the contract (about 4 pages long in Polish, my Polish is good- 6 years worth) get a good translation. I know you may think oh i'll only work for them a year so what can they do when i've gone. But the qquestion is who would prepare such a contract?

I had some dealings with them and have very good reason to recommend that you give that school a very wide berth indeed. There are other schools in Olsztyn.

An honest and trustworthy employer counts for a lot when you are far from home. I found this school to be neither. Email me off-list if you want specifics.

I think Empik School operate in Olsztyn and they are at least professional. www.ang.pl has a list of schools in each town and comments from students. If you can read Polish, it could be a useful resource.

I've had an offer from Perfekt in Bydgoszcz, and am wondering if anyone out there has had any experience of the organisation in that town.

Also, does anyone recommend other schools in either Bydgoszcz, or [moreso] Torun?
