If there are

1) no more GHQ managers at the MLI

2) no more MLI teachers at the MLI

3) no more MLI students at the MLI,

(all of the above in the cards as of September 1st)

is there an MLI?

Do I care? Personally no, but there are still teachers caught up in the chaos.

I wonder if the new incarnation will provide as many messages of complaint with their system. It is difficult to have any optimism about it considering how all sides of management did such an abysmal job.

Watch this space...

No...Bobo don't care either....but Bobo wonder : What will all those English teacher monkeys do now? Bobo hear that CERT will now be in charge of out-reach and MLI close down. That means some go to out-reach and the rest get to sit on the high branches, eating bananas over at HCT. But this brings about even more questions:

1. What will happen to MLI coordinator monkeys?

2. Who goes to out-reach and who stays? (Bobo hear that women can go to out-reach now so nobody safe!) Maybe teachers can draw straws or flip coins? Maybe incentive plan: extra kudos for out-reach?

3. And most important...what happen to Uncle Billy? Bobo think he is redundant director monkey now!!!

Bobo... is it my imagination or is the teaching of English actually improving your vocabulary and sentence structure...

How wonderful... soon you can be the director monkey yourself!!

They may have to get their hands dirty. You know: the unthinkable. TEACHING.

Who has offended the outreach monkey? Who has buddied up to the coordinator monkeys?

Hold onto your banana, Bobo. Uncle Billy is going to be in charge of recruitment, talking to his friends at that big building out between the bridges. He gets along with them so well that CERT, in its infinite wisdom, decided to make him its liaison with the boys in the brass gutras.

(Shhhh! Uncle Billy announced at his last stand-up perfromance that he doesn't want to see any of this discussed on Dave's ESL Cafe!)

Thank you, thank you.

I will not miss the lies and procrastination from the Academic Loonership Team.

My deepest thanks to Uncle Billy for such pearls of wisdom as "The sh** rolls downlhill" and "There's no First Amendment here". I will long remember him as the worst of the administrative cranks who have managed to slip away to the Gulf after washing out in North America.

And my enduring gratitude to The Freak With The Funny Hat for entertaining us all with the loosest lips in the Middle East. Rest assured, dear reader, whoever you may be: If you have ever told The Freak With The Funny Hat anything at all in confidence, he has repeated it to everyone he knows while ridiculing you behind your back. (Yeah, you too, Uncle Billy.)

Glad to be outa there...
