greetings... introducing myself! been here in Recoleta, not too far from Parque Las Heras, for a few weeks. Nice area. My personal opinion, at this point of limited experience, is that Palermo, by Ave. Santa Fe, maybe a block or two south of Ave. Santa Fe... is the neighborhood I'd choose as my favorite... young, vibrant, very livable... near the parks. (I mention this since so many seem to come to this forum, as i did, to get an idea on "best" place to find a place before they get here... so there's my 2 cents)

SOOO... it would be cool to meet up and say hello you folks reading this (that is the ones here in bsAs!), I'm thinking Sunday (Sunday July 31) at "El Carnal" which is "ubicado en Niceto Vega y Humbolt".... 7pm??

ABOUT ME AND EFL/ESL etc. -- I've (well not *just* me, but largely me) been developing an interactive language immersion "authentic content" technology for the past few years. It is online, video based, "multimodal" and a whole bunch of other things. I could write a book's worth about it but instead i'd like to just give you a URL to try the ESL/EFL version. Here is the link:

http://xika.net/english

Simply click on the "try for free" link on the front page and you can also try the other parts of the "free demo" section.

If any of you would like to try it with your students, and set them, and you, up with passwords etc, let me know at some point when we meet up at one of the "meet ups" being discussed here in the forum.

Likewise, if you are trying to improve your Spanish (like me), I invite you to check out the Spanish immersion version of our technology. A lot of the videos are from Argentina TV (Telefe), so it will be very appropriate for living here and studying Spanish here. Here is the URL

http://xika.net/spanish

Again, simply click on the "try for free" link on the front page and then you can also try the other videos in the "free demo" section. If you like it I'll be happy to supply you with a password, at some point at one of these "meet ups".

NOTE: you'll notice that the links I've put on this posting are redirects and don't really contain the actual company name or web addresses of the sites. This is because we have a lot of teachers, educators, and learners around the world starting to "Google" the company name, and many more will be soon (thanks to some affiliates we've set up to spread the word), and I don't want them be led to this posting for all of eternity! Wink ... so i would ask the favor of you-all (the US of A version of "ustedes" Wink also not mentioning the actual company/product name/URL directly in any follow up post you might make.

saludos !
