There don't seem to be many posts on this forum from teachers in Beijing...and I'm curious about that. I would think Beijing is the hot market for TEFL right now. At least, that's what I've got a future eye on....particularly the university scene.
So, I'm wondering what y'all think about the Beijing teaching market in 2006-08. How competitive has it become/will it become? Do you think salaries will go up or down? What might be some "other", non-teaching opportunities be for smart, degreed Anglos during this time?
Also, I'm a bit confused about whether it's easier to land a good position in Beijing by searching IN Beijing, or by applying/researching positions from outside the country? Your thoughts?
