Can anyone reccomend a beach resort in Japan and within easy reach of Tokyo ?
I have asked my Japanese colleagues and they only know of quiet resorts.
I'm not seeking a Japanese Palm Beach, merely a resort with a nice beach and a bar or two for the evenings......
I would appreciate any feedback that you can give and yes......i realise that this site is a job discussion but i feel that this is realted...in a sense ! |

Hi Jon,
I would have said Okinawa, but I guess you mean within easy reach of Tokyo by train.
Have you thought about Shimoda at the south end of Izu? Shimoda has a nice beach & scenery and good food, and fairly easy to get to. |

Shirahama is the beach by Shimoda for surfing.
But places like Zushi, Enoshima, and others in Shonan are much closer. |
