| I have a bank account with my local post office in Japan. Am I able to use the bank card that comes with the post office account to withdraw funds from the post office account while I am on vacation in Canada? |

Does your bank card or information given with the card show it to have any membership with networks like Cirus, Star, or Maestro etc?
If so then the answer is yes you can get money while in canada IF those banks have those services.
Otherwise no.
Citibank accounts made in Japan can use this, but you have to maintain a balance of 500,000 yen to avoid paying monthly service charges of 2,000 yen. And if you want to avoid paying ATM fees in Japan or abroad you have to have a balance exceeding 1 million yen. |

| The bank card has a sort of green three leaf clover symbol on the front. Do you know if this is a valid network on the bank machines in Canada? |

| That's just the logo for the postal savings thing I'm pretty sure, and unfortunately I doubt that will work in Canada. And usually those Cirrus or Maestro signs are found on the back of your card. |

| Not sure about Postal accounts, but when my wife and I went to Thailand my wife got her card set up for using International ATMs. This was a pretty straight forward process, with a small fee attached if I remember correctly. |
