|
|
My wife and I are currently in the United Kingdom (not our home country). Does anybody have experience getting sponsorship from a foreign country? There is a Canadian consulate in London that we could travel too...ideally we do not want (and quite frankly can not) to travel back home before travelling to Japan. Any feedback re: this situation would be great.

Perhaps there is some confusion here...
Sponsorship for visas to work in Japan come in most cases from your future employer in Japan. Country you are in is irrelevant.
Concerning the Japanese consulate processing your visa, you would have to contact the Japanese embassy in the UK for information on how to process it in your situation. |

You would likely also have to meet with future employers while you are in London, who then process your visa through the Japanese embassy.
It really makes no difference except on working holiday where you can only apply from your own country, or if you are on the JET program. You must be in your own country to get a visa.
Regular eikaiwa jobs dont require you to be physically resident in Canada if you can line up a sponsor of your visa. |
