Ok now Im starting to suss things out in the teaching world of BsAs, I have a million questions that come to mind.
Well Ive started working at an institute and I was hoping to suriptisiously (could somebody tell me how to spell that word!!) pilfer some of the resouces for my own gain to use in private classes but unfortunately my predecssors were a bit lightfingered and they dont lend any resouces out.
when I was in Bogot I joined the British Council resource centre which was excellent for listening material, and I could prevail of the blatant disregard for the copywriting laws by copying willy nilly for my classes. Which brings me to my question (finally!): Where do you guys get your resources from (apart from the internet of course!!) especially authentic material (cant afford to buy mags and newspapers at teh moment)?
Also finally!! Is it normal for $15 an hour to find and pay for all the copying of your resouces and bring your own tape recorder to classes?
Thanks again all

yeah $15 is the going rate and providing all your own resources and purchasing a tape recorder.
Of course there are other institutes that pay higher and give you resources it just depends - for example that job I mentioned in another post that provides me with everything including lunch. |
