I am really new to this. My name is Kari and my friend Carolynn and I plan on going to teach in China. My biggest issue is not knowing which schools to trust, etc. Does anybody know anything about Hubei Jingmen Foreign Language School?????? I would love the help and it would be greatly appreciated......Thanks

I don't know the school, so I can't comment. You do however ask a good question, so I'm surprised that no one has jumped on this one yet.

Your best bet is to ask the school for references. If they can't put you in touch with FTs who have left with good stories to tell, then don't touch them. Even with this precaution, there are no guarantees. |

| I believe it is a good school. The FT's have signed extensions to their contracts so it cannot be that bad. The only bad point I have heard about is the accommodation which is really substandard but if you can cope with that you can cope with a lot of things. |

Hey Kari,
I am basically in the exact same boat! In my short experience so far, all I've realized you can do ahead of time is to do your research--ask the employer questions, ask for the word about them in forums like this, and judge for yourself until you are comfortable. It is kind of a gamble, nonetheless. |
