Maybe of interest to some here at Dave's.

JALT International conference, Shizuoka, October 7-10

KOTESOL conference, Seoul, October 15-16

ICEF Asia Workshop, Shanghai, October 17-19
Pudong Shangri-la Hotel, Shanghai October 17 - 19, 2005

The ICEF ASIA WORKSHOP 2005 will again take place in Shanghai and will host hundreds of carefully screened study abroad agents and student recruiters from China and throughout Asia.

Asia is the worlds largest and fastest growing student recruitment region, with China now sending more students abroad than any other country.

In addition to agents from various Chinese cities and provinces, recruiters will be in attendance from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The workshop thus offers education providers a unique one-stop opportunity to meet face-to-face and to discuss business issues with the most important Asian study abroad agents, concentrated in just one convenient venue.

In October 2004, the ICEF ASIA WORKSHOP hosted 257 agents from almost every Asian country who met with 113 education providers from around the world. Feedback from all attendees was extremely positive, a fact already mirrored by the high number of education provider renewal bookings for the 2005 event.

Education providers actively recruiting in Asia know that it is important to identify and appoint suitable new partners early enough in order to ensure and maintain a steady leadership position as student numbers increase.
