Hi. I recently went to a job interview. Things seemed okay until I brought up the question of FM3. I understand, (from reading the consulate page,) that it is the responsibility of the employer to provide the documentation authenticating that work has been secured. Usually this is a letter which is then taken to migraction with all other necessary documentation and monies....
This employer informed me that they did not provide a letter of employment...they also said it was fine to work without an fm3...and that asking questions caused problems for "the last guy". The company pays very well, but it seems shifty to me. I gather they must have some deal worked out with their corporate clients.....or maybe I am a totally off-kilter perspective of this whole thing...can anyone inform me...
thanks a lot. |

I sent you a PM, but just in case you didn't get it, don't take the job. They can say they are going to pay you a lot, but if they cheat on FM3s, they are just as likely to screw you when it comes payday. |

i concur with Playa del Sol........
their character seems shifty to me.
If they will do this to you during the initial interview phase, can you imagine what else they would do later on.

If by "fine" the school meant that you could be fined thousands of pesos and deported if caught working illegally, then yes, he was telling the truth.
There are other, better jobs. Go to one of them, and forget about this outfit. |
