|
|
I think we're all agreed that the Residence Permit for Foreigners is much better than the old Z Visa/RP booklet combination. I have one of these at the moment and will need to renew it pretty soon. My question is, how long can I renew it for? I intend to be in China long term and so I'd like less hassle with visas every year. Is it possible to renew your RPF for more than one year? If so, is it linked to how long a contract you have with the school?
I hope someone out there has the answer,
Cheers,

Shall we begin to take bets on how long it will be before shame and embarrassment force you to 'edit' (read, 'delete') the above post? That is, shall we take bets on how long it will take before the above post becomes like your others?

Oscar, what's up man? Why the edited posts? HZ's link sure is funny, in an oddly bizarre, mildly disturbing kind of way. |

From personal experience, my old green book was valid until the exact date my contract ended. The RPF allows you to remain in China legally while you work/study in China. Once your contract ends you will have to switch to a tourist visa or find a new employer if you will not be renewing your contract with the current employer. |

He certainly looks like a nasty piece of work, doesn't he? If you follow the link supplied you see that he wrote, in response to 'Chris', that:
"You're the type of incompetent w****r that gives EF in China a bad name."
Luckily, at least one poster saved all his posts before 'Oscar' could delete them. I must say, they certainly make for some interesting reading. It is not at all difficult to see why he rapidly went through his posts deleting them one by sorry one. |
