Hi everybody.
Well the English summer is nearly over (did it ever begin?) and I have gained a TEFL certificate which will hopefully allow me to teach?
I'm aiming to head for Vietnam for 6 to 8 months in the 1st week of October but I have a few questions...

1. Does anyone out there know if Teaching jobs are available in Nha Trang?
2. What paperwork will I need to get a job? I don't have a degree, is this going to be a problem?
3. What's the deal with this chicken flu? Is it just the tabloids making something out of nothing?
4. If I don't have a job before I leave will I still be able to apply for a work visa?
5. I'm taking my laptop. Is broadband/ADSL available more widely throughout Vietnam now?

You will need a Resume', a Job application and some photos in a neat envelop. Oh, put on your best suit and tie before knocking on the doors

Real thing, but if you don't handle raw chicken/duck, you are fine

4. If I don't have a job before I leave will I still be able to apply for a work visa?
I've not heard of a working visa though ? I'm working on my tourist one

Absolutely, at around 25cents/hour at local outlets. Laptops are ok in some shops.
