I remember whn I was in University and took a political science course we did a little unit on "Future Studies". Looking back the course was taught by a late - 20's grad student who knew very little first hand experience of the world.

So now on this forum we have here a group of fairly well educated people with all kinds of world experience and I'm just a bit curious: what kind of future world culture do you think will emerge?

We know the cliches made by hollywood and science fiction writers, so no water world, please

How will hollywood culture mesh with Chinese or Arabic? Will one dominate the other or will the mesh into something better or more terrible?

In what way will Islam spread? Will it ever become the dominant ideology of other parts of the world?

Will religion disapear alltogether or will there always be a majority of the world's population that needs to believe in a divine being?

Using your experiences in different cultures, paint a picture of the future.
