This might currently be Yangshuo's biggest English language training centre. It is better known under its English name 'West Street School" - see the large billboard on the road from the bus station that runs parallel to West Street.

I am not sure whether it is a "good" school or otherwise; the premises has recently been taken over by a new investor. Hitherto it was a school in trouble, too large to maintain economically, with too low enrolment. Now it is humming with CHinese English learners that board and study there.

The concept is like this: Chinese pay to immerse themselves in an English-speaking enclave in Guangxi; they get formal classroom English several hours a day, then go out to enjoy the nightlife and socialise with, preferably, westerners.

I have informally heard the school is now owned by BUckland, or at least affiliated with it. They run a coffeeshop outside the gate where I met one of their American teachers. She seemed to be upbeat about her experience although she had just been on the job for 2 weeks.

I don't know how competitive they are. NOr am I too confident they can sponsor your stint there.
