How about.
Play pictionary. Give them 5 seconds to draw suggested vocabulary. If after drawing they correctly say "What's this" then give them an additional 5 seconds to finish their drawing and allow the teams to guess. Do it as teams, and keep the pace fast.
Sorry if you don't like the idea. |

Perhaps a better place to post this type of question is the Activities and Games forum.
In the meantime, exactly what kind of grammar are you planning to use on this sort of game?
"that/who" clauses?
adjectives?
nouns?
possessives?
Who is your target student audience? |

I feel for you, man. Can anyone say 7B Voice Room? (for all you Nova people)
I think Guest of JP is on the right track. Form something around guessing. Here's an example after 2 mins of brainstorming, not that I have done this myself.
Pre-teach:
-What's this/what is this
-guess
-hint
-Is it...questions
Have the class pick a subject. Something easy like animals. You can always change subjects. Then make a student think of an idea and either act it out (real easy) or begin drawing it and then allow questions. If it gets difficult people can ask for hints. Something along these lines will keep people occupied depending on level of genki (including your own). |
