|
|
Hi,
I am moving to Shanghai soon and I would prefer to buy clothes out there rather than carry them from home. I will be looking to buy winter clothes and boots. I'm getting worried that I won't be able to find clothes/shoes to fit me.
I'm female, about 5' 6''
I'm a UK size 10 (which is a US 8 I think)
My shoe size is UK 6-7 (US 7.5 - 8.5, European 39)
Am I going to struggle to find things to wear? Should I bring winter clothes from home?
Many thanks |

Bring enough to take you through a week or two, then buy in China. I don't know what you'll need in the way of winter clothes in Shanghai as I'm in the north east of China where it's much colder. If you find you can't buy clothes off the shelf you can probably get them made to measure for significantly less than you'd pay at home. I'm a smidgen shorter than you, same shoe size and MUCH heavier. I had no problem. |

find your local "fakes/off the truck" market. Shanghai has a few of those where the tourists and locals sworm to for brandname clothing. Bring a comfy pair of shoes and buy the rest here. |
