|

Can anyone please tell me a good Internet site or a number or place in Bangkok to get an air ticket to Cambodia? I would like to leave tomorrow (Aug. 26). If not then, I would like to leave in the next couple of days. I would prefer an air ticket because I didn't travel light. But I would consider a bus if it is suited to hold luggage. Also, a friend who visited Thailand previously gave me his SIM card to use in Thailand, but I hear the cheapest way to make international cars from Thailand is to pay with phone cards. I have a phone card for a public payphone outside, but would prefer a long distance card for my cell (mobile) phone. Do they have such? And I do currently have calling time on my mobile to call long distance directly. If I use all the calling time where do I get another card???? Thank you for your reply. |

Hope I'm not too late with this reply.
First: all of the long-haul busses have ample storage for suitcases.
The bus fare from BKK to Aranyaprathet (on the Cambodia border)
is 193 Baht one-way. From there, you'd have to pick up another bus to
your final destination. You'd depart Bangkok from Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal;
a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride from the Mo Chit Skytrain Station:

Bangkok Airlines & Thai Airways both fly to Phnom Penh
but they're not exactly cheap at 6,000 Baht one-way.
As for international calling: I use a DTAC international SIM card,
and have found the long-distance connection to be really clear,
and the rates very reasonable! Plus, you can 'tank up' at any 7-11,
but ... you'll need to install an international SIM card first.
You can choose from either DTAC or GSM Advance:
