Hey guys! Anyone know some free Japanese classes? I'd be damn happy if this thread can turn into a big list of Osaka (free!) Japanese classes!

I know of OCAT and another smaller place. Are there many? what are they like... Wink so on

I picked up a Japanese language course form at the Naniwa ward office, the same application is also at the Abeno ward office. Location is at the Bentencho Citizin's Learning Centre and the course runs from October 6 til December 15, two lessons a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays (either 10:00am to 12:00pm or 7:00pm to 9:00pm). The form doesn't mention any prices so I assume it's free. The same form is probably at all the ward offices in Osaka.

If you can find your local community centre they usual have a language exchannge system setup where locals come in and teach foreigners in exchange for basic English conversation. I did it in Kyobashi but couldn't keep it up duee to time constraints at work. Worthwhile experience but fairly inconsistent as you usually get a new teacher everytime. It may cost you but private lessons are the best way to go.
