I've finally figured out that my attempts to learn Chinese by osmosis have been a dismal failure, so I'm shopping around for a good school in which to study. The name that keeps cropping up is TLI, does anyone have any experience with them, and if so would you recommend them? |

I haven't studied with them for 2 1/2 years but they were good back then. I did one on one classes with them in Shilin (Taipei), Kaohsiung and Beijing. |

thanks Mark, I'm also considering 1 on 1 classes because my schedule won't permit group classes, so it's good to hear that you found them worthwhile |

I have also studied at TLI and I have found them to be very helpful and the teachers excellent. |
