I have just returned from a teaching gig in China and am considering the middle east for my next stint in two years time. I know this is rather far in the future but I need to check out what is possible and what is completely out of the question.
I have an M.A. in history and a M.Ed in curriculum develpment. Both are from top Canadian universities. I have been teaching English for almost thirty years in North America, Korea and China. I am a native speaker.
My wife has a B.Sc and one of those quickie two week TESOL certificates. She is also a native speaker. She has school experience and English teaching experience in Korea and China.
What are our chances of landing work in the Persian Gulf? We would prefer university teaching. Is it possible or are we dreaming in technocolour? |

Don't call it the "Persian" Gulf if you want to stay on the right side of your employers. It is the ARABIAN Gulf or the Gulf.
Some employers might ask for TEFL Certification in addition to what you alreday have. |
