hey... Wink

just saw something kinda troubling.. rather troubling...

Basically: a woman seriously seriously 'wasted' or in trouble somehow... arm in arm with another woman in the street. Barely barely walking. Most of the last half-hour spent on the street corner... a rather busy street.. on the ground.

But what was troubling ? Apart from that situation itself of the woman's situation... I think I saw 3 strangers (men) and I basically have no idea what they were doing to her, and her sober friend. They were fanning them right up close, they were smiling (why ...I don't know...smiling non-stop), they were just , you know, 'hovering'.

So,.... 2 men left after some minutes.. (well, 1 man went to the AM/PM and got himself a sports drink and nothing for the women)... anyway and 1 man stayed and eventually helped the sober woman and the 'woman in trouble' across the street into a taxi.

What I don't know is: were the men helping the woman or harrassing her? I really can't say one way or the other, but if they were harrassing her.. next time anything like that happens, I'll know to act differently

No telling, but maybe a little bit of both.

I drove past a girl standing on the street completely topless. I have often wondered what was going on there.

Also, in North Kobe I saw an animal that I don't know what it was. I thought it was a fox but seemed too big to be one. I don't think it was a dog-wasn't a wolf. Maybe a huge fox.

another from the 'What was I seeing' file?

Wink ...what is the deal with this.

I am sitting outside a train station. Quite a lot of people around, listening to a few buskers. Nice atmosphere.

Just near me (in fact a the next person a few feet away), also standing, by herself is a nice looking girl.

In the space of 15 minutes, about 7 guys come up to her and talk to her, and ask her s###.. god knows what. They all walk away.

What the f### is that? Wink

Probably "nanpa". Guys on the make here who go up to a complete stranger in the street and try and chat her up get to go for a cup of coffee (and more) with them, if they see a girl standing by herself. Its almost like a sport here among young guys.

alright. thanks. what do you mean 'on the make' Wink ?

I spose I thought it was that. But is it a rude thing? is it seen as a problem by anyone, is it offensive, what is it....

What the f### is with these 'dudes'. Are they f####n crazy? Should I go and tell them to please watch their manners and try not to be habitual harrassers

No law against going up and talking to a woman in the street unless they continue after she says no or start following her home. Then it becomes harassment and stalking. Sometimes the women agree to go for a coffee if they like the guy. If she is not interested they go and target someone else.

Usually they don't physically touch the girl and its in a public place. It can be considered harassment but on the other hand some women here might consider it flattering to be targeted, and on occasion women will do it to men as well.

i saw 2 guys at once talking to her as well. A little intimidating maybe.

Also, as we all know, plenty of women do get followed,.. like late at night, like in the smaller streets

-----------
If it's OK for them to do it... maybe maybe maybe one day , who knows, IF it looks suss, I might tell the guy something. If it's OK for the guy to do that...............

another popular place for nampa around Kobe is Suma Beach.

another thing I saw the other night in a main street around midnight was:

1 girl was riding a bike with her friend standing on the bike.

2 drunk salarymen were walking towards them on the narrow section of street.

1 of the salarymen suddenly jumped out at the girls and screamed as they passed near, and scared the living daylights out of them
