Hello all,
I've noticed that posting on Dave's is a good way for some of us to let off steam.
But how do the rest of us 'vent'?
Here are some of my ideas:
a) Take a long walk
b) Hit the kareoke bar for some bad 80's music
c) Drown your sorrows in the alcohol of your choice
d) Whinge to your partner/friend for a good 1/2 hour
Personally, I pick D, though I'm trying to cut down! Its not good for either of us.
So, in the interests of FT's health and wellbeing, please share your thoughts on how you let off steam.
Thank you! |

What enlightening comments!
To insult someone via the internet is rather pathetic, if you can't respond seriously to a topic, why respond at all?
Really, it amazes me how some posters can devote all their energy to writing an insulting post, what a sad person you are.
China would be better off without you. |

I cook. You get to chop things, throw them in hot oil or water, sometimes you get to smash things too. When I'm done I get to eat it. Food generally makes me happy. |

1. Eat a tonne of food, then wash it all down with a few bottles of beer.
2. Go back to my apartment and dance away to my favourite MP3 dance tunes.
3. [CENSORED] |

I live in a 6 or 7 story building. I am on the 5th floor and there are 2 FTs in the apartments next to me. The rest of the building is full of chinese teachers and univeristy staff.
Most of them are pigs. They throw stuff out the window and the hill behind the building looks like a garbage dump.
As much as I dislike the chinese pigs I let off steam by throwing stuff out the window.
One day it was a broken chair. Another day a suitcase that I brought new and it only lasted 1 trip before it fell apart. Cans and plastic bottles do well - and I know they get picked up quick.
It helps relieve the stress. |

Lifting weights is the way to go for me, something i have used to vent for years. Works like a charm and it doesn't destroy your liver/realtionship after it's over God bless cheap cheap chinese gyms, although the hours suck..... |

I found a new stress reliever today, I was playing ping pong with my partner and my Gr 1 (middle school) students had their dinner break. I started playing with one and the others lined up to play as well!
I had a lot of fun, particularly when they'd hit the ball for five minutes and someone would jump in to take their place.
They play everyday though and are really good! I'm 10 years their senior, so I better start polishing up |

Yeah, PS2 rocks, esp in China where games are 50 cents a piece!
Karaoke and Heineken goes a long way to let off some steam too, and if that's not enough you could always hit the massage parlors afterwards. |

I've beem struggling my pirate copy to work for two days... If I can't get it installed today I'm returning it to the store to exchange it. I asked them last night and that is OK. |
