A few days a week, I have really long breaks between classes- between 2 hours and four hours. On one day, I have to teach at two different schools, which means more travel. Is this acceptable? Should I bitch out my boss and tell her to fix it?
Please advise.

I think it depends on your contract and your situation.
Personally, on the weekend I teach at 3 different schools for 2 hours each. I personally don't mind, i live in a small town and can walk between the schools. I do have atleast an hour and a half between classes which is nice.
From your description it sounds like you are teaching in Government schools therefor the classes maybe at fixed times and there is nothing your boss can do about it.
I would approach them proffessionally and not *beep* them out. That tends to get people no respect.
Peace. |

when i worked in taiwan i worked all over the county. i might drive 100km a day on my scooter in a normal days work. and at a local high school, i had 7-8 classes a day two days a week. those two days killed me..... other days i had huge breaks in between classes. not unusual but not desirable i think. |
