Today I came across this site: http://www.chinarice.org
Among other things it has links to some free e-books, including
-China Arrival Guide (Things I wish I'd known before coming here)
-Chinese English Menu (English, Chinese and Pinyin menu of common dishes)
-some area-specific guides (Shaoxing and Hanzhou)
And plenty of other helpful links for people in China, like ways to buy English books here.
I'm in no way affiliated with this guy, but I thought it might be useful for China newbies.
Come on old-timers, post your best resources for China newbies. |
