Hi,
Sorry if this was posted somewhere but I was recently told that new teachers in Tianjin will need a 2 year University degree to work in China. I'm currently in Tianjin myself and I'm still working on my degree but I do have a FEC and all other documentation. I'm going to have to renew my contract at the end of the year. My question is, will I have problems renewing my FEC or anything else at the end of the year? My FAO doesn't seem to know the situation with the FEC as of yet. Anyone here in the same boat? Is it possible to teach without an FEC?
Sorry if this has been posted before. I just haven't had a lot of time to sort through all of the posts.
Cheers,

I don't think you will have problems since you will have passed the critical first one year hurdle; if your employer is satisfied you can be hired for a second time, and the authorities won't check your papers as thoroughly as the first time. They will probably even waive the need for a medical check-up. |

I agree with Rog on this one..if the paperwork has been put through once..it is likely that it will go thourgh again..but in bigger cities..teachers who havent a degree on file are being ask to provide them now ...and schools are less likely to forge documents..now perfering the FT does it themselves... |
