Hey guys
I just wanted to ask anybody who is renting from Leopalace21, if they are using the internet service "Leopalace BB"? I got a laptop from Canada recently, and I am trying to hook it up, but I am not really computer savy and I don't really know what to do. I also heard that you can't really download anything, and MSN chat by voice is prohibited. Is this true?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated guys. |

I have a friend who reports that download bandwidth is severely restricted for PTP type applications. |

It really depends on the apartment block you are in. In my first Leopalace ap the connection was fantastic. I was getting 1.5mps on some downloads and they rarely took longer than a day to finish. My current ap the connection is fairly crap. The router has been configured to refuse multiple connections to the net so torrents downloads and Xbox Live are out. P2P programmes like Limewire work fine though but they tend to be slower. Connection speed is decent but nothing special. Transfering large files using ftp or Skype is fairly quick. That said, I'm going to get a new ADSL connection soon. You don't really need to configure your connection. You just need an Ethernet card, plug in the cable and type your password in when prompted and you are connected. No fuss. Setting up a POP account is just as easy. |
